The history of Volnay provides us the information that the family PERRIN has been in the village since 1445 and were farmers before anything else but were also involved in wine making. In 1930 Adolphe Perrin and Germaine Glantenay take over the lands and progressively convert exclusively to wine making. He obtains a few acres of vineyards by digging the neighbours soils and working hard on their lands. The year their son Michel was born in 1971 is the same year they will buy a tractor, and this will give life to the lands that were difficult to develop because on a very steep slope.
Vincent and Marie Christine, the current owners settled in 1987 when they were 22. They have started by developing their own wine estate with a vineyard rental system on 2 hectares. Little by little, they acquire vineyards in different villages and in 2000 they take over the family lands that belonged to Michel and Thérèse PERRIN. Today they own 9 hectares and will make you discover about 10 personalised wines. Currently, 3 generations work together: Michel the grandfather, Vincent the father and current wine- grower and Guillaume Alexandre the son, still training. His two sisters, Marie Elisabeth and Marie Morgane will probably join the final team !!!
